Double Mathematics (or Further Mathematics) is taught by members of the Mathematics Department and is available at AS ansd A2 Level, where girls follow the Edexcel course.

In the Lower Sixth students take the six Mathematics modules, thus achieving a full A Level at the end of their first year.

In the Upper Sixth students gain a deeper understanding and broader knowledge of the subject. The six units studied include at least two further Pure Units and application units from Decision Mathematics, Mechanics and Statistics.

Anyone intending to read for a degree in Mathematics should take Double Mathematics. Mechanics units are a support for Physics and would be extremely useful for anyone pursuing Physics or Engineering beyond A Level.
